Microsoft submits latest documents to European Union for Antitrust compliance
Software giant Microsoft has filed revised documents with the European Commission as they aim to comply with the rulings of the antitrust decision from 2004. This was confirmed by the commission.
The company is due to launch their latest software products including Windows Vista and MS Office 2007 later this month to their business customers.
Microsoft managed to file these documents before the deadline set by Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes. However, it is still not clear on whether they would be enough to avoid the fines, which could be as high as 3 million Euros a day.
Microsoft said in a statement: “We will continue to work closely with the Commission and the (independent) Trustee to ensure that we are in full compliance with every aspect of the Commission’s decision.”
