Air Deccan to provide services to seven more cities

India’s leading budget segment airline operator Air Deccan has revealed their plans to expand air connectivity on feeder routes.

The company is now planning to launch flights to seven new destinations soon. G R Gopinath, MD of Air Deccan said in a statement that their new flights would help them tap market opportunities in regional routes.

He said in a statement: “We are starting our flight service to Dharamsala, Jamshedpur, Bodhgaya, Kuchbihar, Mysore, Salem and Ludhiana. The facility will be in place within 2-3 month time.”

However, they continue to make most of their revenues from the Delhi-Mumbai route. Gopinath added on this fact: “You cannot have a Mumbai-Delhi economy. You have to look for the entire country and see that people from all parts get air connectivity. If the feeder routes are activated, they will supplement to the trunk routes.”
