India Today group to launch an English language daily in Delhi

Media group India Today has said in a statement that they are planning to come out with an English language daily in Delhi city by early next year.

India Today Group Chief Aroon Purie said in a statement: “We are working on it and the paper is expected to be launched sometime early next year.”

He was speaking at the ongoing India Economic Summit, organized by the World Economic Forum and CII.

Purie however declined to reveal more details on this project but he did say: “A strong editorial quality will certainly see us penetrate into the market.”

They are going to target the national capital region first with this new paper and would plan for an expansion after seeing the market reaction.
