Pfizer to cut jobs at their US operations
One of the largest medicine companies in the world Pfizer has said that they would be cutting around 20% of their US based workforce.
These job cuts would be part of the company’s comprehensive cost-cutting program and would affect around 2200 workers in the company.
Pfizer is due to present its long-term outlook and additional actions for transforming the company in January.
These job cuts would be applied in all levels of Pfizer’s sales organization. The company had said in the month of October that they would be reviewing all the aspects of their operations to cut costs. Pfizer aims to save $4 billion a year by 2008 through these new initiatives.
