Satyam Computer Services to enter Malaysia and China
Satyam Computer Services is the fourth largest software company in India and they are now planning to expand into Malaysia. The company aims to set up a global software development center in Malaysia and might even consider opening up a similar center in China.
This center in Malaysia would be opened in Malaysia’s main technology park of Cyberjaya and would be their first such facility outside India.
Virender Aggarwal, the company’s senior vice president and regional director said that this center would offset rising cost in India and it would be easier for them to find talent from other countries. He further said that the quality of Malaysian engineers was on par with those in India.
Satyam aims to hire 2,000 software engineers initially and up to 5,000 later and this center is expected to start working within a year’s time.
