Cognizant Technology Solutions to establish a unit in Hyderabad
IT service provider Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited has said that they are going to setup a unit in the city of Hyderabad.
This unit would see an investment of around Rs 140 crore and it should be working by the end of 2008.
They are looking at setting up a 5-lakh square feet office space to provide an additional capacity for over 5,000 new employees. Laxmi Narayanan, president and CEO, Cognizant said that this is part of their plan to create fully owned techno-complexes in Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune.
Narayanan said: “Cognizant has grown faster than our competitors over the last several years, and our strong product pipeline reinforces our confidence in our future growth plans.” They aim to build over 3 million square feet of office space and employ around 30,000 new employees in these centers.
