Infosys to enter NASDAQ-100 Index
Indian IT Company Infosys is likely to enter the coveted NASDAQ-100 index from December 18 this year. Infosys coveted NASDAQ-100 index said in a statement: “We are delighted to hear about the inclusion of Infosys in the NASDAQ-100 index, especially so, when we are celebrating our silver jubilee year.”
He further said: “India is leading the global growth, and companies like Infosys are helping corporates worldwide to effectively compete in a flat world.”
This news come just as the company is celebrating its silver jubilee anniversary. It joins a list comprising of big names like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Apple, Intel and Yahoo.
The NASDAQ-100 consists of 100 largest non-financial stocks listed on the NASDAQ. Other than Infosys, the other two companies being included this year are Level 3 and Vertex. These three companies would replace JDS Uniphase Corporation, Lincare Holdings Inc and Urban Outfitters Inc.
