ESPN Inc. acquiring North American Sports Network (NASN)
Sports media group ESPN has confirmed that they are acquiring North American Sports Network (NASN) from Setanta Sport Holdings Ltd and Benchmark Capital Europe.
The financial details of this deal have not been revealed to the media but sources claim that the deal was worth around 80 million Euros to 90 million Euros.
ESPN expects the deal to be completed by the first quarter of next year after getting the approval from the regulatory bodies.
Russell Wolff, managing director of ESPN International spoke about this deal: “Growing our business in Europe is a key strategic initiative for us. We expect NASN, which has performed well and created a unique market position, to be a strong addition to our portfolio.”
