Airbus to invest big in India in the coming years
European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has said that they would be investing $1 billion in India over the next decade.
The company is eyeing the ever-growing aviation industry in India, which is generating huge orders for both Boeing and Airbus.
Airbus said in a statement that they estimate the Indian market to see demand for passenger and freight aircraft valued at $105 billion to meet burgeoning demand by 2025.
They would be spending around $300 million in setting up a pilot-training school. An additional $250 million would be spent on an engineering unit. Both of these units are expected to be established in the IT city of Bangalore.
