Maruti Udyog to enter South African market next year
Maruti Udyog has said that they are planning to start exporting their products to South Africa starting next year.
The company would benefit from their second plant at Manesar, which has now started production. South Africa is a major market for right hand driven cars, which are sold here in India.
They are working on identifying their dealership in the region in collaboration with the parent company Suzuki.
As of now, Tata Motors is the only Indian automaker to export cars to South Africa. Mahindra and Mahindra is also present in the market though they sell their utility vehicles in the region.
Sri Lanka currently is the largest export market for Maruti where it sells 8,000-9,000 cars a year.
