Air India fails to meet security regulations
The state owned international airline carrier Air India has apparently failed an international safety audit. This audit is called the International Operational Safety Audit and rates an airline company on various safety measures including engineering, flight safety, and maintenance.
This is however the first time Air India has failed on passing through this safety audit test but it would affect the company’s image in the market and the rankings on various ratings. This safety audit is conducted with other independent bodies like the FAA and the ICAO.
The IATA Operational Safety Audit is also considered to be the global benchmark when it comes to global safety management in airlines. As a result, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has withdrawn the International Operations Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate from Air India.
