Hewlett Packard to launch more cost cutting efforts
US based PC manufacturer Hewlett Packard has said that they would launch some more cost cutting efforts in the coming months.
This comes after recent a restructuring effort which has already sliced the work force by 10 percent.
The company said that they are looking to cut expenses as they work on retooling sales strategies and makes other moves aimed at improving the company’s overall position.
HP Chief Executive Mark Hurd said in a statement: “We have a lot more cost to take out. We are a company that is transforming — we are not a company that is transformed.”
He also somewhat dismissed rumors in the market saying that the company was considering acquiring security software company Symantec: “You should not be expecting us to do huge transactions.”
