Air Madrid airline halts their operations
Spanish government has suspended the flying license of Air Madrid airline. This happened after the airline company announced their decision to halt their operations.
The government bodies have also rejected Air Madrid’s proposals to resolve problems with repeated flight delays and security issues. A Civil Aviation spokesman said: “This decision has been taken with total independence of the absolutely irresponsible and unilateral behavior of the company.”
The company mainly operates their flights between Spain and Latin America. Their decision to halt their flights has resulted in thousands of passengers stranded on airports around the nation.
Sources claim that as many as 300,000 ticket-holders could be affected by this new development. The Spanish government has also said that they are considering taking legal action against the airline to claim back from Air Madrid $6.6 million in funding for emergency flights.
