Apple Computer delays filing for options review
iPod maker Apple Computer has said that they are delaying filing its financial statements a second time.
The company would also be restating earnings to account for backdated stock-option grants.
Apple added in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the size of any charge related to the stock options hasn’t been finalized.
Apple is now likely to file its quarterly and annual reports with regulators by Dec. 29.
They had begun an internal probe of its options grants in June. These included a grant made to the company CEO Steve Jobs.
