Qantas places order for an additional eight more A380 super jumbo planes

Australian airline company Qantas has confirmed that they are ordering eight more A380 super jumbo planes from European aircraft manufacturer Airbus.

The combined order for this plane from Qantas now stands at an impressive 20 planes.

However, these new orders won’t be able to help Airbus being dominated by Boeing in terms of new plane orders in the current year. Airbus is suffering from delays in their A380 launch and customers are now ordering Boeing planes while they wait for their deliveries from Airbus.

Market sources states that Boeing currently has new orders for 875 planes compared to 694 planes for Airbus.

Singapore Airlines too recently revealed their plans to place order for nine additional A380 planes.
