Ford Motor to invest USD 1 billion in Michigan
US based automaker Ford Motor has said that they are planning to invest $1 billion in six southeastern Michigan plants. They have pledged to make this investment in return of $151 million in tax incentives from the state.
Ford would be making available more details on this investment on Jan. 4 at a transmission plant in Livonia. This plant would be one of the six to receive these benefits.
The other plants included in this plan are Sterling Heights, Wayne Assembly plant, Dearborn Truck assembly, Dearborn and Woodhaven parts stamping plants.
In addition, Ford is also considering investing in a hybrid vehicle engineering facility in Dearborn, the Romeo Engine plant, a truck plant in Wayne, the Sterling Heights axle plant and Ford’s proving grounds in Macomb County’s Bruce Township.
