ICICI life insurance now has more than 2 million customers

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has reported that they have just recently become the first private life insurer in the country to cross the two million policy mark. This information was released in the media by its Managing Director and CEO Shikha Sharma.

Sharma also added in a statement that the company had crossed two million policies milestone with the corresponding sum assured at Rs 43,000 crores. In addition, the new business received premium income at Rs 4,532 crore.

The company reached the 2 million market within 18 months after crossing the one million policy mark in September 2004. Mr. Sharma added that “a policy base of two million in less than six years of operations is an indicator of the robustness and scalability of our business processes, distribution, and service.”
