Oracle donates for IT training in Karnataka
US based Database Company Oracle has pledged to give out a grant of $5.4 million to provide specialized training in information technology (IT) in Karnataka.
This grant would benefit students in 100 polytechnic institutes in Karnataka.
Oracle Academy would also be providing these institutes curriculum, software and professional development over the next two years.
Krishan Dhawan, managing director of Oracle India spoke on their efforts: “The programme is a step towards making the students of polytechnics industry-ready by providing them specialized training on IT infrastructure management, and make them fit for the requirements of the IT industry.”
Oracle Academy has in fact made grants worth $255 million to higher education institutions in India.
