Google unlikely to partner in China to take on Baidu.com
eBay has already admitted that they are tired of slugging it out alone in the Chinese market and are now likely to partner with a Chinese company.
However, Google seems to have no such plans. The company is likely to continue on its own in the world’s second largest internet market.
Baidu.com is currently the market leader in the search engine segment in china and Google believes that they are on the right track in this country working alone.
Lee Kai-fu, Google’s president for Greater China said in a statement: “We have confidence in our current approach.”
He however declined to reveal any of their upcoming plans to take on the domination of Baidu.com.
Google just recently collaborated with Taiwanese mobile service provider Chunghwa Telecom to provide their customers with mobile search and other services.
