Virgin and EasyJet collaborating to form world’s first budget global network
Budget airline companies Virgin and EasyJet are planning to collaborate with AirAsia to form a Malaysia-based alliance.
This would be world’s first budget global network. This was reported by the Malaysia’s Star newspaper.
The report claimed that the new joint venture would start its operations by starting flights between Kuala Lumpur and Manchester, and Amritsar in India.
The paper claimed that fares to Britain will be between £43 and £365. This is pretty cheap when compared to ticket prices on regular airlines.
Virgin and EasyJet would gain easy access to Kuala Lumpur’s low-cost airport terminal through this alliance. AirAsia is yet to comment on this report considering the ongoing holidays.
