Wal-Mart reports improved same-store sales for December
Retailing industry giants Wal-Mart has said that they estimate their December same store sales to be up 1.6 percent. This figure is only for those stores which have been operating for at least a year.
This figure is better than their estimations. Wal-Mart and most other major U.S. retailers are expected to come out with official figures later this week.
Wal-Mart posted its first same-store sales decline in more than a decade in the month of November last year. The company suffered despite offering huge discounts on variety of items.
Considering this good news, Wal-Mart is now expected to update its profit forecast on Thursday.
