Fox Filmed Entertainment gained from Borat, Ice Age and X-Men movies in 2006

News Corp owned Fox Filmed Entertainment has come out with their revenue reports for last year. The company said that they grossed $3.56 billion in box office receipts in 2006.

The movie studio gained from impressive performances from movies including “Borat,” “Ice Age: The Meltdown” and “X-Men: The Last Stand.”

Fox claimed that its global box office total was an industry record.

The company made more than $644 million in worldwide ticket sales from the sequel of the Ice Age movie. They gained another $456 million from “X-Men: The Last Stand”.

Borat was another hit for the company and took in more than $240 million. It is still being shown in theaters around the United States. Some other hit movies from the Fox included Eragon and Night at the Museum.
