Shah Rukh Khan to promote Compaq in India
The king khan gets yet another major brand to promote now. Hewlett-Packard India unit has signed on the bollywood superstar for its mega promotional program called “Yeh Hui Na Baat”. The promos for this brand promotion would feature Shah Rukh Khan. These would be on television by the starting of next month.
This promotional campaign for the Compaq brand would cover print, electronic media, radio, outdoor, sales promotion, and merchandising. HP India aims to reach out to the entire Indian population with this promotion and they seem to have picked the right person for the job.
Ravi Swaminathan, Vice President, HP PSG India, said in a statement: “As industry pioneers in home computing and mobile computing across the world, we have continuously worked towards positioning PCs as a Must-Buy consumer durable product. This Compaq Presario promotion with Shahrukh Khan is an attempt to reach out to consumers across India and reiterate the Compaq promise of a world-class product, distribution and service quality that the brand offers.”
Shah Rukh Khan added: “In the 21st century, Desktop PCs are not only a boon for professionals but also a useful aid in children’s education. I have seen computing add tremendous value to me, both at work and at play, inside the home and on the move. I am a technology buff; my latest passion is playing games on my laptop, which is really addictive.”
He further said: “It was an easy choice for me to associate with the promotion for Compaq Presario, which is a smart machine for smart individuals and the undisputed champion in the PC market.”
