Ford to invest big in Brazil
America’s second largest automaker Ford Motor has said that they would be expanding their presence in the Brazil market.
Ford has plans to invest $1.02 billion in Brazil through 2011. They would also be acquiring local off-road vehicle maker Troller.
Ford did not disclose how much they are paying to take over Troller. The company produces about 100 vehicles per month of two off-road models T4 and Pantanal.
Ford had recently announced their planned investments of $139 million in the country. This fresh investment would be separate from that.
Ford has been performing well in the Brazilian market in the recent times and they are looking for growth here to compensate for losses in their home market.
