Reliance Malls might offer car servicing and washing facilities
Reliance group has said that they are planning to enter the lucrative automotive servicing sector. This initiative would be part of their retail plans where they would be setting up hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores and malls around the country.
The group is now taking services of executives experienced in service and support at automobile companies with the aim of providing car servicing and washing facilities at these malls.
Market sources said: “The team is working on a standardization process for spares and quality levels. Support from automobile manufacturers is also being sought to add to the credit worthiness of the venture.”
Another source claimed: “In developed markets, it is a common practice to equip malls with a section where you can get your car washed or serviced, while you spend time shopping or catching a movie. With MNC retailers heading for India, it will soon be a regular feature here too and Reliance is gearing up for this.”
