Naza to setup their plant in India near Chennai
Malaysian automobile maker Naza has said that they are going to setup a manufacturing plant near Chennai. This plant would be established on a 180 acre land and would manufacture cars for sale in the Indian market.
Malaysia’s minister of works Dato Seri Samy Vellu said in a statement that the company would begin their venture in India with an initial investment of $150 million in the plant.
The company is expected to sign up a MoU later this month with the Tamil Nadu government. Vellu added: “Work will start three months from then, and the construction would take another 18 to 20 months.”
Naza decided to setup their plant in Chennai considering the city already houses many other automobile companies who have setup their operations in the region.
