Cingular to be replaced by AT&T starting next week

AT&T brand would soon start replacing the Cingular Wireless brand in the United States starting next week. The company is likely to launch a brand new advertising campaign to replace the Cingular brand in the country.

The ads would initially feature a transitional graphic that includes elements of both the AT&T and Cingular logos.

AT&T has again become the telecom giant in the United States bringing together several telecommunications brands. And they are cutting on the brand names to cut costs.

The company estimates that they can save around 20 percent of the operating expenses by merging the advertising campaigns of their various brands.

This year would see thousands of Cingular stores and kiosks to get the new AT&T signs. They would continue to run the transitional campaigns till the time the consumer recognize that the Cingular brand has been replaced by the AT&T brand.
