High Tech Computer congratulate Apple on the iPhone innovativeness

High Tech Computer is the world’s largest maker of mobile phones featuring the Microsoft Windows mobile platform. The company has said that the newly introduced Apple iPhone is pretty innovative.

They have however said that they are not going to launch any phone which replicates the features and interface of the Apple iPhone.

HTC in fact suffered at the stock market after Apple introduced the iPhone recently at MacWorld. The company’s share dropped 4.1 percent to NT$590 in Taipei Exchange.

Peter Chou, president and chief executive officer of HTC said in a statement: “It’s a pretty eye-catching design.” He added that they are on their way to launch their ‘own cool stuff’ in the near future.

He further said: “We need to differentiate ourselves. We will not be successful if we are a copy cat.” HTC has proved to be different in the past by not getting into a copycat race launching products similar to competing products in the market.
