Intel countersues Transmeta on their patent case
Microprocessor industry giants Intel has now filed a countersuit against Transmeta Corp. as part of their ongoing patent infringement disagreement.
Transmeta had earlier sued Intel claiming that their Pentium and Core PC processors violate 10 patents owned by Transmeta.
Intel has now responded by saying that they have not infringed any Transmeta patents. Intel is further claiming that Transmeta is infringing seven of its own patents.
Intel further claims that the Transmeta’s patents aren’t legitimate, because Transmeta officials “withheld, concealed and/or mischaracterized” information about other patents and technologies in their patent applications.
