Tata Steel acquiring Rawmet Ferrous Industries
India’s largest private sector steelmaker Tata Steel has said that they are going to acquire 100 percent of Rawmet Ferrous Industries Pvt. Ltd.
This company specializes in making ferro alloys. Tata Steel has not however disclosed the financial aspects of this deal.
Rawmet runs a ferro alloy plant in the eastern state of Orissa and has a capacity of manufacturing around 50,000 tonnes of carbon ferro chrome per annum.
Tata Steel would be acquiring the stakes from IMR Metallurgical Resources AG and Rawmet Commodities Pvt Ltd.
