OPTi files a lawsuit against Apple Inc. for using its patented technology
Apple continues to remain a big target for lawsuits. The latest company to sue the iPod maker is OPTi, a Silicon Valley company.
They are suing Apple for using their patented technologies in its Mac range of computers. The lawsuit has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on January 16.
OPTi is claiming that Apple violates three OPTi patents on what it calls ““Predictive Snooping of Cache Memory for Master-Initiated Accesses.”
The company further says that Apple Inc is using their patented predictive snooping technology without permission in its desktop, notebook, and server computers.
OPTi licenses its intellectual property to personal computer manufacturers and semiconductor device makers.
