Nokia posts improved profit quarterly report
World’s largest mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has come out with their latest revenue report and the company has said that its net profits grew by 19 percent both in all of 2006 and in the fourth quarter.
Nokia showed this improved performance despite the increasing competition it faces in the mobile phone market.
Company’s net profit rose to 4.3 billion Euros last year compared to figures of 3.6 billion Euros in 2005. The sales for the company were up by 20 percent to 41.1 billion Euros.
The fourth quarter of the last year saw company’s net profit touching 1.2 billion Euros. It is an improvement of 19 compared to the same period in the previous year.
This report helped the company gain at the stock market as the share price went up by 6.84 percent to 16.55 Euros on the Helsinki stock exchange.
