Stephen L. Green acquires Air America Radio
Air America Radio has said in a statement that they are selling themselves to New York real- estate investor Stephen L. Green for an undisclosed price.
Stephen Green said today in a statement on this deal: “I’m purchasing a majority ownership in Air America with the intention of making it a successful business that returns a profit.”
Considering the company is bankrupt, the deal would require approval from a U.S. bankruptcy judge.
Air America Radio also said on this occasion that Comedian Al Franken will host his last show on Air America on Feb. 14. He would be replaced by Thom Hartmann.
Air America had applied to receive bankruptcy protection on Oct. 13.
