Vodafone revenues up 5.1 per cent
Vodafone Group PLC is trying to enter the Indian market by acquiring a majority stake in the mobile service provider Hutch.
The company has also come out with their latest revenue report and their third-quarter revenue rose 5.1 per cent. Vodafone has performed well in their emerging markets. They added 8.7 million customers over the three months.
Vodafone has also clarified that they would stick to an unspecified price ceiling for the Hutch stake and would not go overboard with their price.
Impressively, the company has now crossed the 200 million customer mark in January. Their net subscriber base has risen 22.5 per cent in the three months ended Dec. 31.
Turkey, Egypt and Romania have been the biggest gaining markets for the company. Improvement in European nations has been marginal.
