Yamaha planning to bounce back in India

Honda, Hero Honda, Bajaj, and TVS have more competition in stores for them as the other Japanese major Yamaha is working hard on bouncing back here in India. The company is building-up its armory to launch a major marketing blitz in India and have already spun off its sales and marketing division to form Yamaha Motor India Sales.

Yamaha Motor India Sales head T Maeda said in a statement: “Yamaha will lead to a great increase in our brand promotional activities and a significant improvement in our dealer network. Our immediate goal is to reestablish Yamaha brand as being sporty, stylish, and innovative, for which Yamaha is known worldwide.”

He further added: “We have retained Dentsu Communications for both the creative and media duties, as they have understood these brands well given their experience on the business. We have also added Bates Enterprise, the agency which will handle the duties of the yet to be launched Yamaha Motors post this fiscal.”

The company is now also planning to launch new and more exciting models some of which they showcased in the recently concluded Auto Expo 2006 show in New Delhi.
