Satyam Computer Services targeting China for their next base
Indian IT major Satyam Computer Services has announced their plans to expand their business operations in the Chinese market. The company has said that they are setting up a large development centre in Guangzhou.
Satyam Corporate Headquarters Senior Vice President V Murali said in a statement on the company’s venture into the Chinese market: “Satyam has plans to increase its presence in China. The setting up of our operations centre, though in a small manner, is the first step before we set up a large development centre in China.”
For this, an agreement was signed on between Satyam Managing Director B Rama Raju and Guazgzhou Mayor Zhang Guanging in Bangalore. Satyam was one of the first Indian companies to enter china and has around 250 associates across Shangai, Dallan and Beijing. It would be interesting to see how they perform in this country, which is now showing massive interests in software development.
