Fiat aims to double market share with launch of Fiat Bravo

Fiat brand head Luca De Meo has said in a statement that the company aims to almost double their share of the most important car segment in Western Europe with the launch of the Bravo.

He said: “(We’re going for) 2.5 to 3 percent of the C segment. Our target is to sell 120,000 (units) per year, and then we’ll see.”

Fiat is due to launch their new five-door car Bravo in their worldwide markets.

However, the company has not revealed the timeframe for reaching 3 percent of the C segment in the region.

Fiat had earlier said that they aimed for a market share of 8 percent of the entire Western European market in 2007. They had 7.6 percent of the market by the end of last year.

The company is already a major player in the segments A and B with their popular models Panda and Grande Punto.
