Volvo to enter India with their cars this year
Swedish automaker Volvo has said that they would enter the Indian auto market with their cars by the middle of this year itself.
They would be selling some of their passenger cars through distributors in three key cities. The company also has plans to Rs. 70 crore on a bus body building facility in Bangalore.
Volvo claims that their operations in Bangalore would create jobs for around 700 workers. They plan to have a dealership in New Delhi, Mumbai and another city in India.
Volvo is the second company after Ericsson from Sweden to announce their investment plans in the Indian market.
