Ericsson posts 13 per cent improvement in fourth-quarter profit
Ericsson AB is the world’s largest maker of wireless networks and the company has just come out with their revenue reports. The company has posted a 13 per cent improvement in their profits in the quarter.
The company gained from strong sales and its recent integration of Britain’s Marconi.
Ericsson reported net profits of 9.8 billion kronor. This is up from figures of 8.64 billion kronor a year earlier in the same period.
The company further said that they expect the growth to continue as the market is gaining new services and customers around the world.
Ericsson further said that they would pay a dividend of 0.5 kronor (seven cents) per share. Market analyst Anders Berg spoke about Ericsson’s performance: “There is still a lot of value left in this company. If there’s something that I’m disappointed with, it is this.”
