Hyundai India cuts prices on cars

The Indian budget for the year 2006-07 has brought a lot of good news for the prospective customers of the compact car segment as the government reduced duties on imported component parts.

Market leaders Maruti has already announced price cuts on many of their small cars and also their sedan Baleno. Now, Hyundai India has also announced massive cuts in pricing of their cars targeted at the Indian consumer.

The company has announced price cuts on various car models manufactured locally and these cuts are up to an impressive Rs 26,000 following the reduction in excise and Customs duties in the Union Budget.

Prices of Hyundai Santro Xing have gone down from Rs 16,000 to Rs 26,000 as per the reduction in excise duty. The company has also reduced the prices of their other models available here like the Getz, the Accent, the Elantra, and the Sonata.

Prices of Getz GLE and the Elantra have gone down by Rs 2,000 and Accent would now be cheaper by around Rs 1,000. Hyundai has also lowered the prices of Sonata by around Rs. 15000.
