Singapore Telecommunications collaborating with Globe Wireless
Southeast Asia’s largest telecom company Singapore Telecommunications has confirmed that they are now collaborating with Globe Wireless of the US.
The two companies would now be reselling SingTel’s services to the maritime industry. Globe Wireless is based in Florida and they provide services to 400 ship operators with a fleet of more than 5,500 ships.
Titus Yong, head of satellite at SingTel spoke about this deal: “We are delighted to work with Globe Wireless. Through SingTel’s powerful integrated fixed and mobile satellite operations, Globe Wireless has found an experienced and reliable satellite operator in us who will supply airtime to run its suite of communications solutions.”
The deal would see Globe Wireless reselling SingTel airtime to its maritime customers.
