EMC acquiring Valyd Software
EMC has said in a statement that they have signed on a definitive agreement to acquire Valyd Software. This company is based in Hyderabad India.
Valyd is a vendor of software for securing enterprise data. The two companies have not disclosed the financial aspects of this deal.
EMC further said that Valyd’s software will be brought into RSA which is their security division. They had established this division last year to integrate products from its acquisition of RSA Security and Network Intelligence.
Manoj Chugh, president of EMC India said in a statement on this acquisition: “India was until now perceived as a low-cost location for outsourcing work, rather than as a place where you could find top quality innovation and intellectual property.”
Valyd Software was established in 1998 to develop software to secure enterprise data.
