dMarc Broadcasting’s Chad Steelberg and Ryan Steelberg no longer working at Google
Google has confirmed that Chad Steelberg, dMarc’s chairman and CEO, and his brother Ryan Steelberg, dMarc’s president have both left Google.
Google acquired dMarc Broadcasting, the radio advertising company last year.
The company did not reveal more information on why they decided to leave the search engine giant. It is also not clear whether they left the company themselves or they were fired.
Google has also not clarified on who is now heading their radio ad operation now.
Market analysts believe that the way Google has spoken about them leaving the company show that there were tensions and disagreements amongst the previous owners of the company and Google.
Steelberg brothers had founded dMarc Broadcasting in 2002 and they were acquired by Google last year. Google intended to use their expertise to diversify from paid search advertising into other forms of advertising.
Google had this to say about their radio advertisement division: “Google is committed to the audio business. We will continue to gather feedback during the Audio Ads beta test and are happy with the progress to date. We remain focused on delivering value to the radio industry as we continue to expand radio station inventory and enhance the product so that it’s ready for all advertisers.”
