Boeing gets an order for 27 planes from UPS
US based aircraft manufacturer Boeing continues to have a great year as they have now confirmed receiving an order for 27 Boeing 767-300 Freighters from package delivery company United Parcel Service Inc.
Boeing said in a statement that the deliveries of these planes would begin in 2009.
The order would continue to be processed till 2012.
The company added that the UPS contract pushed the total number of 767s ordered to date to 1,005 airplanes.
With this, Boeing has extended its lead over their leading rivals Airbus which is plagued with delays in their new releases.
