Dodge Challenger to be showcased at Chicago Auto Show next year
Chrysler Group has said in a release that they plan to showcase the production version of the Dodge Challenger at the Chicago Auto Show next February.
They would put this vehicle on sale in the spring of 2008.
The company had originally showed the model as a concept at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006.
This means that the concept would take around 2 years to reach a production level stage. Chrysler added that they would manufacture this car at Chrysler’s Brampton, Ontario, plant. That plant already manufactures the Dodge Charger sedan and Magnum wagon and Chrysler 300 sedan.
The company added in a statement that ever since the Challenger rolled out as a concept, it has gotten 1.5 million visits to Dodge.com and 20,000 requests for more information about the car.
