Tata Motors could launch the Rs. 1 lakh car in Latin America
Tata Motors is already working hard on launching their Rs. 1 lakh car in the Indian market. The company is already testing the car and has plans to launch it here in the market by next year.
The company has now said that they are now considering launching it in Latin America under the Fiat badge, which could be priced at $2200.
Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata said in a statement that the Fiat Group had expressed interest in this car and they were open to the idea of selling it under the Fiat brand in regions such as Latin America.
Fiat has a strong brand presence in these markets and this could bring in the extra revenues for Tata Motors. They are already expected to gain from the technical expertise of Fiats in developing cars and engines.
