Hewlett Packard to acquire storage software company PolyServe
US based tech giant Hewlett Packard has said in a statement that they are acquiring storage software company PolyServe.
HP said that this acquisition would give it important leverage in the enterprise-class network-attached storage (NAS) market.
The two companies have not released the details on the financial deal signed between them. The company has 117 employees.
HP added in a press release that using PolyServe’s expertise, the information from file or database servers can be consolidated into a single, shared pool of storage. This storage is highly available and can be expanded to match business demands.
