iSkoot manages to raise $7 million in venture capital funding
iSkoot Inc. is a developer of software tools to enable users to run Skype and other Internet calling platforms on mobile devices.
The company has said that they have raised $7 million in venture capital funding. These funds have been provided by a group of investors led by Charles River Ventures.
Some of the initial investors in the company included Khosla Ventures, ZG Ventures, and Jesselson Capital Corp. These three parties have also invested more in the coming.
The company has now in total raised close to $13.2 million.
iSkoot also has in the recent time managed to sign a key deal with European wireless carrier 3 Group. This allows the customer of their services to make Internet calls using Skype on mobile devices. 3 Group is also working on selling phones in the market which are preloaded with iSkoot software.
