Associated Press collaborating with Voxant on syndication
News media group Associated Press has said that they are collaborating with the Voxant Inc. The AP would now begin distributing its news content (stories, videos, photos) to blogs and other services using Voxant’s advertising-supported syndication network.
Voxant already has several deals in place which enables them to syndicate news from a number of major outlets. These sources including big names like Reuters, AFP and the McClatchy-Tribune Information Services.
They provide this service through their online service at http://www.TheNewsRoom.com. Web publishers are allowed to select news stories, photos and videos from various providers and legally embed them on their own sites.
The services are supported by advertisements and the revenues generated are shared by all the involved parties.
Voxant and AP did not reveal the financial aspects of the deal signed on between these two companies.
