Dell sets up another call center in Philippines
US based personal computer maker Dell has opened its second customer call center in the Philippines. With this, the company now has a potential of having a local worker base of 2,600 in the country.
Dick Hunter, Dell’s vice president for customer experience said in a statement on this new development: “We’re growing quite rapidly.”
He added: “Our expansion is evidence of the quality and talent of professionals here in the Philippines.” Dell is planning to hire around 100 new employees every month.
The company however did not reveal their investment plans in the country. Philippine Trade Secretary Peter Favila claimed that the US based tech giant has till now made investments of 466 million pesos on this second call center.
Philippine is increasingly becoming a hot destination for customer support services.
